    Abstract

Cloud computing is the latest computer science paradigm which had made the resources in the internet can be utilized on the basis of cost. It offers the users many rewards in terms of operational cost reduction, excluding the tasks of the organizational systems, much improvement in providing flexibility, enhanced consistency and position independence. The major drawbacks of this computing are security issues such as sensor networks and Internet of Things. In order to defeat these boundaries, researchers have projected an innovative cloud computing representation called fog computing. Fog computing is the new technology which extends cloud computing and its related services to the edge of the private network or the other networks which are very close to it. Fog computing was the new technology introduced by CISCO. The characteristics of fog are mobility, very huge number of nodes, main position of wireless admission, muscular attendance of streaming and real time applications and heterogeneity. Hence, a survey study has been presented in this paper on the fog computing techniques, applications of this technology and other issues related to this technology.
